About Us
In 1998, John and Louise were introduced to the joy of South African Wines by their son-in-law, Sebastian. He brought home a Pinotage from Stellenbosch S.A., which also happens to be his birthplace.
The quality of this wine drove them to contact the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ). At that time this region was marginally only available on the SAQ shelves under the category ‘Other Regions’.
The Lovett’s joined forces with Vinimark Trading as well as one of the biggest and most respected wineries in South Africa: ‘The Robertson Winery’. This winery is an example of helping the people of the region and is committed to the black empowerment process.
In 2007, the regular category ‘South Africa’ was well implanted at the SAQ, and we are proud to find the Robertson Shiraz, Robertson Chenin Blanc and a new blend of ruby cabernet, the ‘Robertson Chapel Red’, a symbol of quality and price.
You will find Our Wines available at the SAQ in their ‘Regular' and 'Specialty’ category, as well as some limited ‘Private Importations’.
Our persisting motivation and devotion to the people and this gorgeous region of South Africa are driving us to continue this passionate work.
