In 1998, John and Louise were introduced to the joy of South African Wines by their son-in-law, Sebastian. He brought home a Pinotage from Stellenbosch S.A., which also happens to be his birthplace. The quality of this wine drove them to contact the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ).. At that time th South Africa category did not exist and wines were only available under the category ‘Other Countries’
In 2007 a new category ‘South Africa’ is implanted at the SAQ and we are proud to find numerous products in regular, in specialty and in private importations from : Allée Bleue, Avondale, Bon Cap Biologique, Boschendal, Boplaas, Bon Courage, Chamonix, Delaire Graff Estate, De Toren, Ernie Els, David Frost, Ernst Gouws, Fairview, Goats do Roam, Goose Wines, Grooth Constantia, Mc Gregor, Muratie, Painted Wolf, Rust en Vrede, Spice Route, Thelema, Tokara, Van Loveren, Vergelegen, Vilafonte, Warwick, Waterkloof.
In 2008, from Languedoc-Roussillon we acquired the distribution for Québec with the wines of the Domaine GAYDA.
In 2010, New Zealand and the oldest estate which belongs to the Marists’ brothers : Mission Estate and other smaller estates from: Central Otago, Hawkes Bay, Marlborough and Wairarapa.
Also in 2010, WOSA introduce a NEW SEAL for South African wines. The seal is a world first and certifies a wine’s integrity as well as sustainability. ‘Integrity’ is a guarantee of quality credentials: it says 100% of the grapes come from the area shown on the bottle, at least 85% of the grapes are of the variety and from the vintage shown, and that the wine is bottled in South Africa.

In 2011 we continue our expansion to the United States and especially to California with wineries of: Kenneth Volk (Santa Maria), Fleur de California and Mahoney Vineyards (Napa Valley).
