Did you know ?GAYDA chose the Grenache varietal considering that it was the oldest grape in the Languedoc for his FLYING SOLO brand. It is also the most important and most cultivated varietal in the region at the time when Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was flying the Languedoc to deliver mail to England and South America.
This juicy, ripe and approachable Shiraz with its ruby colour and purple tints, has a spicy white pepper undertone as well as lavender and dark red fruit aromas. It is characterised by its versatility, demonstrating a smooth and soft palate and a savoury finish.

Vineyard & Harvest:
The Shiraz grapes were hand picked in the fresh hours of the early morning from a selection of cool vineyard sites in the Stellenbosch region.
Grape varietal: 100% Shiraz
Matured for 12 months in older French and American oak barrels, to maintain the lovely freshness of this varietal. Fermentation took place at cooler temperatures, around 24 ̊C.
