Description :
Grapes were sourced predominantly from vineyards in the Stellenbosch area as well as a small component from Darling. Grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks, pressed and sent to 225l barriques from 12 months. Older French and American oak barrels were used.

Anecdote
Creativity, originality, quality….. Simon Van Der Stel, Governor of the Cape, purchased the farm in 1699 when the first wine was made. Charles Back, the Grandfather, emigrated from Lithuania, bought the farm from a French Huguenot in 1939. It was in 1974, Cyril, the Father started the « Goat Milk » business. Charles, the son, in 1978 built the « Tower », giving birth to the brand and names; FAIRVIEW, SPICE ROUTE, GOATS and newly, LA CAPRA meaning Goat in Italian http://www.fairview.co.za/
